Safety & Respect in the Office: our Zero Tolerance Policy
In order to provide our physicians, staff, patients and families with an environment that is safe and respectful, we have a zero tolerance policy for language or behavior that is intimidating, abusive, demeaning or violent towards our staff or environment. This includes name-calling, yelling, demeaning comments or threatening behavior or language, or any racist or sexist behaviour. In cases where patients or family members do not adhere to this policy, the appointment will be ended immediately and we will no longer provide medical care and your family doctor will be made aware that we have had to end the therapeutic relationship due to breakdown in trust. If the patient has not yet been seen by the physician, the appointment will be cancelled, a letter will be sent back to the referring physician that the referral is declined and will be advised to refer elsewhere for care. Our physicians and staff need to feel safe in order to provide good care and we appreciate your cooperation.
in-person and phone options
Our office is located at The Medical Centre in Peterborough. Many of our appointments require in person assessment, but phone visits can sometimes be scheduled by request. Some visits may take place at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
